I was trolling through the woods scouting a bit while turkey hunting. I sat down on a deadfall for a drink and quick rest. Feeling a bit whooped as my muscles and joints were screaming at me, that's when I spotted it ~ Lion's Mane!!!! This mushroom has several other nick names, Bearded Tooth, Bearded Hedgehog and a few others. What really got me excited, other than its medicinal values, was the fact that I just scored on one of my favorite foods. Folks say that everything tastes like chicken well, Lion's Mane just happens to taste a lot like lobster! I didn't kill my bird today but I've got the next best thing to lobster sitting in my fridge
