You have been reading too much. Y do you think duke aren't good traps? Duke 1 1/2 take more critters every year then any other trap. There #4 is also a really good trap.

Hi Sam. You may not find anywhere local for MB traps unless you find someone selling theirs, most farm stores only carry dukes. I started with dukes as most people due cause they a cheap and easy to come by, I also have been upgrading to MB traps and in my opinion the MB trap is the Cadillac of traps and if you can get some they are well worth the money. There are many places to buy MB traps but I really like www.fntpost.com/I have also picked up some nice used traps here in the classified section but of course be careful and only buy from those who have been around here for a while, less likely to get burned that way. Good luck By the way I have some Montana traps also and they are pretty sweet as well.

While Dukes are used by many folks, there are lots better traps out there. Some folks aren't into modifying traps, don't have access to welders,or the talent to weld. F&T or MTP are both very good companies to order from. Both give great customer service and fast shipping.

For most folks the 550's will do anything you want and aren't as intimidating as the 650's.
Those #3's need upgraded to music wire springs and MAYBE four-coiled.

Hey Sam, like Dale said above, the 550's will hold up without any mods. I would personally shop for them from the manufacturer ... www.minntrapprod.com/ ... or look on an internet shopping site like ebay.

Silverfox is close to you and might be able to help you out. Call the Old 60 Fur Shed and ask him. Good guy to sell to as well!

What do you guys suggest for the music wire springs. How do I know it is music wire springs. I also have some Duke #3 and am thinking of 4 coiling them or upgrade the springs. What are your thoughts leave the current springs and 4 coil or replace current spring and leave them double coiled.
