I've never waxed traps before. I was thinking about trying it. Can a guy use something like a metal 3 pound coffee to wax in? I know it would be 1 trap at a time but I only have 6 land traps to do.

Yes you can... but it will only do up to a #2, tightly at that...

Don, I would have to say, that depends on the make and model of trap. Just cant say anything bigger then a #2 wont fit, cause a duke 1.75 makes a bridger 1.75 look like a 1.5. Oh, wait a minute, a brigder 1.75 is a 1.5.
You see what I am sayin?

well let me rephrase.... it'll fit a #2 duke tightly..... how's that... geesh Rod..... I wax all my traps one at a time, and I still use a coffee can for my water traps that will fit in it... . Up to a #2 DUKE....

Nope. Never done it. Always dyed but never waxed. I looked at the local flea market today. They had a granite ware type bucket thing with a lid but they also wanted $15 for it. I'm going to wally world tomorrow and see what they have. I'm thinking the stainless steel stock pot might be the thing. It should last a while.
