new dog proofs

i have 2 new dozen dog proffs what do you guys do to get em ready for season paint em or whats the prosses

What kind did u get KC? some guys do paint them white they are easier to find in the woods that way
some also add extra swivels.

I add an extra swivel and that's about it
I'm motto worried about paint as the first coon you catch in them is gonna wear it all off fighting the trap so I don't worry too much about the paint. most paint them white for eye appeal but a big maraellow in the top works just about as well

I just put mine in the dishwasher to get the packing grease off and set em... I paint them with the cheapest spraypaint I can find after cleanup for the off season...
