Walleye , Before you buy a knife you should try a few out first. Then buy the one you like. There are enough guy's on here who have several different knives that I'm sure would be more than willing to let you try.

troy anytime you want to use the system I use ok. I be Laurie any one wants to try it is ok. if you want to practus before season use road kill or adc thay wont have fat but good lurning thanks jim

Okay Troy. I won't be buying anything yet. I plan on attending a clinic or two this fall so I can see first hand how to do things from people with lots of experience!

One little tidbit to add is when you start putting up your own fur start with grinners.........if you can successfully flesh, stretch and dry 10 grinners in a row without damaging the hides (most) everything else will seem easy.


A good DVD does not hurt either.
