If the 1.75 Bridger is a duplicute to the Northwoods 1.75,then it should be a fine trap. I use the 1.75 Northwoods where there may be a problemm with dogs or a chance of catching coons in a K-9 set. The smaller jaw spread means extra care in trap placement and guiding, but they hold coyotes just fine and would be foot friendly to fox also.Usually get a good pad catch with good holding power.

I seen a guy put #3 pans on #2 bidgers before, don't know it they would fit on the 1.75 tho. You would have a bigger catch area if you could do that.

That's a cool idea login !!! I think these 1.75 are made specifically for the pit type pan, I think the space between the bolt is to wide for a reg pan but I'll check it out in the morning !!! Thanks for the feed back guys !!!

I bought 2 doz of the Bridger 1.75s they are a awesome trap I think not of the Bridger that have the "bump" for the night latch but I don't leave it like that cause it dont click when set my 1-1/2s are like that too and I just file half the bump off so they actually click they are a strong trap friend of mine caught a bunch of stuff on them coyotes and cats and they worked great. I really like the square jaw traps myself I just seem to find them much easier to bed

You will still have creepage if ya only do the bump... Funny, we were talking about the exact same thing yesterday at Ray's house, then get on here last night and WHALLAH, there it is again, lOl I think if I was the one filing, it'd be on the end of the dog, not the bump...

Well, I file down the dog/bubble on a few traps this morning and had to file some off the end of the dog to shorten travel and bend dog in to lower pan !!! They work great now !!! Audible click !!!
