Not a joke, just want to see if old Jerry Clower is as well known now as he was when I was a kid.
"Whoooo shoot this thang!"
;D
Choose your favorite...I'm partial to Clower because we both grew up coon hunting. Never had to punch a "suped up wildcat" from a tree though.

One night my buddy decided to climb a tree, the dog was sure there was a coon up there
The only place a coon could be was a eagles nest
Allen gave me the rifle
When I asked about shells
He said, " won't be any relief needed up there"
Big old coon, great memory
God bless you Jerry Clower of Yazoo City Mississippi

Foxworthy's "you might be a redneck" was funny the first couple of times, but same ol same ol gets old quick. Ol Jerry was a storyteller elite.

Yes he was. No other like him before or since. Yazoo City , Mississippi lost one of their greatest son's when Ol' Jerry was called home.

Ole Highball got hold of the biggest coon you ever did see, " Get em boy, you can do it boy, put it to em, put it to em, him & that coon tied up, they fought all the way up to the rail road tracks, the old # 7 train come barreling thru & killed em both grave yard dead, my daddy started crying his eyes out, I told em, ' It's ok daddy Highball's got pups, they'll be just as good coon hunters as him." My daddy looked at me & said aint crying bout the dog, I'm crying cause he might've died thinking that coon whooped him!!!!" Love me some Jerry Clower, Jeff Foxworthy needs to get some new material.
