I'm looking to replace the jaws on an old Victor No. 2 coilspring. It has square jaws. When trying to order I don't understand what some of the initials mean. Would someone explain these to me please? I got most of them. There may be others.
FOJ = RJ = Round Jaw OS= Off set Jaw SC= Soft catch
I'm also replacing the springs with music wire springs on some other traps that are pretty old. They're the ones that have been getting pullouts. I've got 3 Victor 1 1/2's , 4 Victor #2's w/square jaws and one Montgomery #2. I suppose the universal music wire springs will work? And I plan to baseplate these to add a D ring and center swivel them also.
Any suggestions are welcome.

I do believe FOJ means 4 coil offset jaws.
And I am pretty sure that they make music wire springs for different size of traps, but as long as it is a music wire spring for that size, it will be stronger then when the trap was new.
Base plating is about the best thing you can do to a trap. Besides giving it the center swivel, it also straightens the base of the trap as well.

login is correct..check out f & t they have everything you need. and say you have a 1 1/2 coil spring trap. any music wire spring made for a 1 1/2 coils spring will work. and so on. and they are better than what came on them. i have took the springs from a weak #2 coil and put them on my 1 1/2's and a 1/12 weak spring and put on a #1 coil. thanks

Just put #3 MW springs on them and call them good. Unless they have #4's...
