Another caster question

Ok. So, if I happen to be lucky enough to find a beaver, make a suitable set & catch said beaver, skin and extract the caster sacks, how would I dry and prep the caster for use?

i caught 4 so far and all ive done is cut the castors out and letting them hang ,that was yesterday. ive heard of useing them both ways dried or fresh but dont know witch way is better

You can always cut them out and freeze them. I froze a couple of them last year and they where fine when I took them out this season to use.
