Was frying some bacon this morning and my grease jar I keep in the fridge is now full was thinking about putting a teaspoon full in an egg shell half and putting in the back of my pocket sets, think it will work for coons and grinners?

It will work for foxies and yotes, too. One of my favorite old time trappers who catches way too much fur for his age says he uses burnt bacon on all of his yote and foxie sets. it works. But, I would eat all of it before I got to the set. I love burnt bacon! (is burnt even a real word?)
Bacon grease is a winner. I do not use much bacon anymore since my young lady is sort of a health nut. But, it is great stuff. I mean the bacon, not my wife. OK, maybe both. I am gonna be in the dog house again if my wife creeps up behind me so gotta go!

Oh yeah- leave all those little burnt pieces of bacon in the grease. Scrambled egg scraps, too. Great stuff.

A nearby trapper who slays fur prefers burned bacon pieces for cats, fox, and yotes and cheap grape jelly for coons.
