I know that Wammys are cheap in price, but I didn't have any on hand at the time. So I made some out of what I had.Take a 40D common nail and clamp it in a vise. Clamp 12 ga. wire to the nail with vise grips. I use 12 ga. because I had plenty of it. Wrap it tight around the nail. I went 4 complete rounds. Clip it off as close as possible.  Whalla, instant Wammys. Using a 40D nail to make these will work with a 5/64 cable and a 9 ga. support wire.

Good stuff Rod, I have one of those "trappers benders" (what a name!) and it works well, plus I can make swivels too.

I always carry a roll of black electrial tape in my truck and just tape the snare to my support wire. I had bought a bunch of CR's that didn't have whammies on them(reason they were cheap)and have had no problems with them.

I don't know that "Curio Rilic" is, but when I first seen CR in writing, I thought somebody made a mistake and spelled RC backwards.

I was told by a fur buyer not to use cable restraints because they hurt the fur.
