Hey guys looking for some advice on who makes a good caller that's worth the money. Do you guys prefer the mouth calls or the electronics. If your using the electronics what are some good calls to be using for coyotes as they are now all that's in season. Thanks in advance.

I like them both....If I had to pick one it would be a rabbit squaller-blow type. I went to Radio shack and rigged up an amplifier for an Mp3 player and downloaded about 20 different calls. Fits in my pocket and will blast outthe calls. So I am $15 into my call. (a little kid gave me the Mp3 player- I guess he felt sorry for me) I used cassette for 20 years and have fond memories of tapes self destructing and battey consumption. DO NOT LIKE the digital calls. Sounds like a robot with repetitive pattern. I would say to try different things and the best call is the one that makes a coyote appear in front of you and pose for a shot.

Thanks Krank, that's the kind a call I want the one that makes that coyote appear in front posing. How hard is it to amplify a mp3. My kids have those mp3's I'm sure I could borrow so long as they don't know. Where do you get the downloads for it. Thanks again.

There is an archive in this forum with downloads. Radio shack has the $15 amp and it has a speaker in it or go external. There are several websites with free downloads. PM me if you cant find them...

I have used the primos turbo dog with good result and it is very loud and you can load more sounds that you may want. Comparable to foxpro. I have seen it on sale for $150 .

I like open-reed mouth calls, or just my own vocal chords.

Actually, I got a squeeky chew toy that I bought at the dollar store and it is deadly. Its amazing that a little squeek will make a yote perk his ears 100 yds away and head towards you.

I like open-reed mouth calls, or just my own vocal chords. Dale Dale,on the vocal cords thing,do you still use the castrating bands to get those high notes ?
