Song dog in the snow

Called in this male this morning, started with some female invitation howls, then some distress calls and about 10 min later this guy showed up down wind!

touche' ! -this cold might make them yotes come to calls better than they have been this year.

Pretty boy! What time were you out?

I was at a trapper's house last night picking up cats and those yotes were howling around 7 p.m. Makes me want to head back down to the camper even more. The only thing I hear howl here in town is the neighbor's dogs whenever a siren goes by.

First light this morning. I always try to go out morning and evenings.

I have always been a fan of the dawn hunts over the evenings for some reason. I have always had better success even though most of the people swear otherwise.
