Okay.....I got a dozen DPs scattered of 2 miles of creek bottom. Each DHDP has a spoon full of jack mack and a mini-marshmellow in it as well as 3 mmw laying next to it.
All my mini-marshmellows are gone and all the jack mack is still there. (All in one day) #1)- WTF happened to my mini-marshmellos? Bird? Mouse? too dry out to have dissolved. A coon wouldnt pass up Jack...
#2)- What is the proper abreviation for marshmellow. I get so sick of typing out "marshmellow". If I put "mmw" would you understand? Can we just adopt that term-MMW?

Probably the Keebler Elves took them.
I am fine with mmw, but do not capitalize it (MMW). It makes me think you are playing Modern Warfare 3 (for some of our "time enhanced" readers that may not know what Modern Warfare is, it is a video game some "time deficient" people play)

MMW3 is all my 13yr old can think of. When I was 13 I rode my bike and shot things with my 22 and trapped rabbits and possums and built forts in the woods. Tanned furs and shot slingshots I made and made bows and arrows and poached fish out of Millers pond. My boy is always in front of the screen. Truly grieves me each day and my wife protects him from my wrath. (My suggestion involved a tree stump and 12 guage but that was squalshed)

I thought I had posted it here that I had this exact same thing happening. I was not covering 2 miles of creek but I did have 6 dps along a section of creek. Jack Mack in the tube, big marshmellow in the top and a few minis on the ground. For a week the minis and the big one in the top would be gone at every trap. I changed it up on a few, instead of the Jack in the bottom I put a few big pieces of ham under the trigger and I got this guy. After that no more marshmellow thieven was going on

Mice can pick them mmw out. I trapped one in a DP this year they well get the big ones too or if you use save mmw or best mmw or should I say cheep mmw they my melt when wet. Always bye Jiffy marshmallows they seem not to melt in a rain. I always get the BIG Marshmellows and always top off the DP with one so when you are checking them you can see if they need rebated at a distance--RESOMAN--

I only use the big mallows stuck onto the trigger... Mice will eat the mack as well as the mallows. Could be birds but most likely mice, just dont know about the mack not being touched.... HMMMMM

welcome to my world....I suspected a smart coon but I am using dhdp's and the jack is untouched. None are knocked over. I may blind set some #2's in the trail. I will rebait (I'm a master-remember?) and see what is up.

I thought mice at first to but after a few days I figured every trap every night was a bit much for mice and I had a mellow under the trigger too and it was not touched. He was going for what was easy and thats it. I knew it was not birds or squirrels as I was baiting at night and checking before sun up. And as I recall when I added the ham I did not use any marshmallows . It was reach in for the ham or nothing. I picked ham cause after all I dont know of anything that can pass up some christmas leftover ham ha ha

This morning I went out and re-baited. I think I figured it out. I seen tiny little coon tracks near my DPs. Last week I caught this little fart that was so tiny, I released him. He has come back as my menance. Tonight I'll run the hounds through there and I wont be as gracious. I should have put the catch pole to him and turned him loose halfway to work.
