Okay....so we all have our secret lures.....The season is winding down......Should one preserve everything in the freezer for next year or allow it to age on a shelf? I am talking gland lure, not food lure. (Castors, skunk,urine,etc)

I think aging is the way to go on the glands- to a degree. I don't want them setting in a hot (120+ degree) shop all summer however. I'll put mine in the freezer, or go ahead and work them up by June or so. Just the way I do it.
After I buy some more loveage, and...!

I got some castors and oil sacs. The old book I have says to dry them and grind them. I dont want to do that. I think I'll just freeze them then get them out in the fall for aging till season. I took one of the castors and put it in everclear andhave caught two beaver using that. (dunno if it was the scent or the location) I did good thisyear on land sets with that egg lure. Not rotten just aged....mmmm good....
