went out this evening, made 3 stands. 1st stand had a yote come in and hang up about 200+ yrds. he went back in a ditch and startes barking at us this went on for 10 min or so with us challenging back. he finally came back out and was still hung up took a shot and a clean miss. boooo! stand #2 made 2 sequences of distress cries and here came yote bouncing in,then a fast retreat and another miss! man i need to shoot more apparently! we educated a few 2night! maybe next time

Well it sounds like you are getting the hang of it, and dont worry about the misses it happens a lot those yotes are small targets at 200 plus yards! The calling is starting to get good as the coyotes are out and about mating so keep after them hard the next few weeks with the coyote vocalizations and you will have some luck! This weekend will be very good with the snow and cold whether coming in I am hunting all day friday and saturday and I am getting excited to hit the field! Remember persistence is the name of the game with predator hunting so get out there and get after them man!!!!
