most of the creeks i trap have gravel bottoms or solid rock bottoms, and i cant get any of my coni stabilizers to penetrate rock lol, so i was thinkin about this all day and this is what i have come up with, i am goin to take one of my stabalizers and cut off the portion that sticks into the mud and weld it to a rail road tie plate. lol it sounds stupid, and its gunna be somewhat heavy so i dont plan on packin it very far by foot, i will use it on a set i can drive close to, but if my thoughts work out i shound be able to set the plate on the gravel and it will have enough weight to keep my trap stable. most of my creeks around here are 4 ft deep so i am thinkin i could also wire my coni to the the railroad plate. what do yall think?

I think that would work good or you quid take the rods and weld them on long way to do the same thing and it would be lighter to cary.

What size coni? I use a brick for my 110's. The 3 hole type. cut a branch that will fit snug in the holes. The middle one your spring eye goes over and the one on the end the center of your spring goes over. Rock solid!!
