i wrap clear tape around them to keep them on, or i engrave letters on the lids to know what is in the bottle if the label wears off. any other ideas to identify the lures?

A permanent marker on the lids is faster and easier.

I use a permanent marker and works good for me / some lures come with tape on them. I belive what works the best for you stick with it.

scratch the name on the lid with a pocketknife or awl. Doesn't rub off.
