Hey guys! Figured I’d let y’all know. Back in 2017 I was diagnosed with dysautonomia. Basically when I stand up my blood pressure drops and my heart rate goes up. I was on meds that controlled it for the most part. I’d have a bad day here & there but nothing to write home about. May 9th a switch was flipped. My pressure dropped and I passed out. Took a ride to the er. They didn’t know what to do & rolled me out the door. A week later with high (200+/100+) & low (60s/40s) pressures I went to a bigger er. 5 days in the hospital & several tests later they still didn’t have an answer so I’m somewhat stabilized but still can’t work. I’ve got an appointment with a specialist in St. Louis in March 2024. They did tell me while I was in the hospital that this is probably what killed my brother 6 years ago at the age of 45. It kinda makes a guy nervous!

Sorry to hear about your dysautonomia. Waiting a year to see a specialist is absurd! I believe your underlying conditions can be treated. I wish you the best in getting better. Prayers for improvement.

Best I can say is do what the doctor says and read up on the subject. Sorry this is happening to you.

Hope all goes well, waiting 9 months to see someone is ridiculous.

Used to be that, if a doctor got all excited and rushed you to a specialist, it was time to worry and wonder. If they werent concerned and in no hurry then that was a good sign. The squeaky wheel gets lubed so keep calling them.
