I apologize if I posted in the wrong section, but here it goes. What is the going rate to charge someone for skinning furbearers? Any help is greatly appreciated. thanks

Every one of them will be different. You can skin a lot of muskrats and coons in the time it takes to skin a Coyote or Otter.

Coyote,bobcat,beaver & otter $7.50
Coon $2.50
Rats $1
Don't know if that's the going rate, but that's what I would charge, plus they dispose of the carcasses on coyote, coon, and otter.I would take care of the bobcat, beaver, and rat carcasss if they didn't want them.

Thanks for everyone's feedback. Going to skin just for a friend. Trapping season is his busy season. I want to give him a fair price. I'll make me a little extra plus I like skinning.

Bootheel, hard to guess what just skining might be worth per critter, most that skin for others probably do the full put up. I can skin a large pile of possums or a small pile of coons in the same time that it takes me to skin one coyote, so I would price according to my experiance and time per critter. Suggest that you time yourself on a few and set price to obtain a wage that suits you.
