You can buy bone meal and fish meal at you walmart garden centers.Bone meal is just what it says,it's bone that has been pulverized into a powder form.Myself,I'd use the fish meal to add more fishy smell.Anything like oatmeal, flour, cornmeal ,or such will decrease the smell somewhat. It may not be much, but better to add smell than take away from it.

Oat meal worked for me. Any cereal type would work. Sweetfeed works good too. I use veggie oil after my wife cooks catfish in it too. One thing to remember is to keep that stuff fresh. I have had an awesome mixture set in the truck on a sunny day and it got "vile". Coons dont like nasty garbage.......

Karnak what I did with mine last year and probably will again this year is I made a big tub of it maybe 3-4 lbs worth and put it in a small fridge I have in my garage. when I went to run lines each day I took enough out of the big tub and put in a alley Tupperware bowl that way it stayed fresh and I had a good ammount all the time think ill try some cornmeal this year with some veg oil from frying fish that I have been keeping

If I buy a can of smoked oysters then I am eating them. The juice in the can gets saved for lure......

Finally, Don finally said "glycerine". You're waisting your time if you don't freeze-proof your bait.

Not enough. HEAVY on the 'smoke. And I didn't use oysters (when I USED to use Jack Mack, for 30 years) Oysters are good for the libido, and the juice is EXTRA special. Oh yes. It is.
