Spot to find new and old sign. remember to take the cameras and get some pics for the board. The new trappers need to see what we are talking about when it comes to finding sign!

here is some locations for beaver and otter tony showing some sign. heres a location that can easy be gang set with foot hold, conibears, snares and cr's here's some pictures that show a perfect feeder stream it comes from a very large river that runs aprox 100 miles not counting several large creeks that feeds in to the main river.this location has produced 100's of beaver and otter over the years when i was younger. this can also be set up with snares, and conibears. as you can see were a beaver has started to work on the tree on the last picture. set your snares or conibears at the narrow sections of the feeder stream

do you pull mink from those cutbanks Cajunbill? If so what do you use? yes i try to gang set these areas up for every thing. i use pocket sets for one reason it catches mink, coon ,rats and some times a otter.i mix the sets up and put out some pipe sets in then throw in some blind sets for mink using 110's in the small trails in the tall grass alone bank. now on the top picture of the old beaver run the only choice i have is pocket sets for mink and snares for coon, beaver and otter.they out lawed snares on land here now so i must set them at the waters edge
