I'm fishin' a tourney at LOZ in the morning. 24 degrees or so at take-off. Pretty far out.

Twenty-one (21) degrees when I pulled in the ramp this morning made for a chilly first few hours today. The can some sun, and it was good.

I have great clothes. Other than my hands, mostly my left, I still do okay. It was a beautiful day after the frost, and the gobblers on the ridge above me... I've heard 'em gobble plenty in the fall before, but double gobbling, answered by another bird who double gobbled, and the the first bird TRIPLED. Man, what was the DEAL???

Ya'll missed out, is what I'm saying.

Nights like this remind me of younger days when I trudged out in the dark with my dog and .22 looking for fur. Denim jacket and stocking cap. Dale-I cut to the chase on the turkey gobbles and stocked up at $0.89 a pound.
