Man it's finally feeling like fall. Temperature this morning was 40 degrees with low humidity. In the morning calling for 30's with chance of frost or freeze next couple of days. That should get leaves to start falling and get rid of a lot of green in the uplands. We could really use some rain though.

The 2 year drought continues. I will argue that to the moon. Freeze warnings tonight. This is how it usually is at the end of September. Tinder dry out there. The 3 inches of rain we got a couple weeks ago is long gone.

Acorns are falling like crazy here at the house. But, like every place else, it's really dry.

It's super dry in Northeast MO also. No rain in the 10 day forecast. I haven't cut my grass in a while and I can probably get by another week or two. My pond is down a 8-10".

Learned something from my old organic farmer. Some acorns are shunned by wildlife. They have worms inside them. They look fine but if you cut them open then there is a little worm inside. Somehow the critters know.
