I'M TOO OLD FOR THIS SHIT!! Heat is supposed to break tonight, for a few days anyway. Bob Hope said, "Getting old ain't for Sissie's!" I'm also sick of drinking water etc only to have it leak right out again,. AND taking 13 different pills 3 times a day.
Everybody better stay away from me today!

I still like the heat. I fish when it's hot (and it ain't been all that hot this year).
I still like the cold (except I hurt more. Some.) I hunt when it gets cold. And I fish when it gets cold too. No BLEEP allowed.
When it gets really cold, I trap. I'm versatile.

Love the cold. The colder the better as long as no wind.

I preferred the cold to the heat myself, till I got older, now freezing my ass off ain't near as much fun as it used to be!

Getting a real nice rain here this morning. Have 1 1/4 inches and still coming down slow. Probably be muggier than heck when it finally clears. Still pretty dry here as far as creeks and such. Finding beaver going to be a challenge again this year.

Good weather to stay inside and get caught up on making rabbit sausage and later the deer jerky.
Everyone loves the stuff but no one wants to help when the work of making it comes up.lol
Made up 25 lbs of the breakfast sausage and still need to make the Italian tomorrow or Friday.

Yeah, if you have AC, I don't, that 91 deg was outside & INSIDE the house, attic fan can only do so much.

My wife and I spent the entire afternoon and early evening driving gravel backroads, looking for rocks for the yard. No air in the truck, sweating like crazy, having FUN.
Never give up. Never surrender. And sweat your ASS off!

Its been a great summer for me. Crops did well. Ac was out until July. I go out until I cant stand it and then find a "shady" job.

Never use the AC on my truck, even when I worked. Window down and breeze blowing thru is more comfortable to me.
Working up meat needs to be as cold as you can keep it. Throw in fridge as soon as ground, ice water to mix spices, mix and back into fridge. I then make loaves and /or patties, then into the freezer to tighten up. Once stiff enough I vacuum pack and back into the freezer.
Got deer meat thawing to grind later this evening.

Supposed to rain today. Supposed to be cool tomorrow. I think I will camp out at the gun range in the primitive camp area and grill some tenderloin. Get up Sunday and enter the pistol shoot. Grill burgers for lunch. Then we have a rifle shoot. Neat little place. I need to pickle some quail eggs too.

Just the general smell of them and the poo. I had around 150-200 at any given time. Boy they eat a lot too. But sure are tasty 😁
