Clay had talked to Trevor a couple days ago and he said beaver prices should hold. Trevor is paying $17 a pound for put up hatter beaver and a little better for ones that'll grade good fur. Otter advancing and cats from our area is what the market is looking for. He'll also looking to buy good big coon and skunk. He payed more for skunk last year than any other market I could see.

Trevor is a buyer out of Michigan. Clay lives at Sumner Mo. Didn't know which you were asking about.

Kinda curious on the price difference between him and gfw. I'm thinking about going to Sumner but it's a hour and a half from me and gfw comes 12 miles from me so. LoL.

Depending on how much stuff you have could be quite a difference. It's about a hour for us but look forward to seeing others folks there that we don't see often. Breakfast is free as is lunch(flathead catfish). Clay also has quite a few used traps for sale.
Trevor also buys skulls, castor, skunk essence, and glands.
Will also be MDC agents there tagging cats and otter.

I don't have a lot of furs this year, I only have 20 beavers, 10 otters, 84 muskrat's 3 raccoons. I do like that there will be a agent checking otters cause I haven't tagged any yet. I don't put up My beavers cause I only have 1 board left the others got cut up for things. LoL 😂

I think you'd be a lot happier with Trevor's prices vs Groney's. I've watched Groney buying on youtube and he seems awful low on prices.

I have noticed that when he buys on YouTube and when you sell to them off YouTube.the prices are different. He gives a little better price when he's on YouTube.

Just got back from Clay's and pretty good turnout. Saw some collection of put up coon do very well with high of $15 for some 4x. Quite a few beaver and otter also with highs of $50 on otter and $40 beaver. Green stuff was about $5 cheaper on average.
Few collections of nice cats but I really didn't pay attention to them or the k9s which were few.
Castor for straight run was $30.
Trevor will be buying thru tomorrow noon.
My 15 otter average $38.50 and 36 beaver averaged $32.50. 1 xl muskrat $3.25 Only rat I had. 1 titty cat $25 and wasn't a very good cat at all. 4.8 lbs of castor was $144.

Not to bad, I'll definitely try to go there next year if he comes back cause I'll keep some skulls to. I'm really curious on the rats now cause I have a lot of xxl and xxxl rats. I don't think gfw is paying that good on beavers or otters from what I've been watching.

I unfortunately missed it again this year. The ITA had a booth at the Iowa Deer Classic this weekend that kept both me and Craig busy.
