I bought a couple Bridger #1 stop loss traps and was messing with them tonight. I found out that when set, the pan is extremely hard to set off. It takes a lot more force than my other #1's to set off. Am I doing something wrong? Or is this just part of the trap. Thanks, Hunttrapflyfish

HHHmmmmmm.......why is it hard to trip? Is there a nut and bolt that the pan pivots on? Is the dog too deep in the notch? Help us help you.....
Traps aren't always ready to go out of the box

There is a nut and a bolt for the pan to hinge on, and the dog too deep isn't an issue. I didn't know if I was doing something wrong, or what. Sorry I don't have much info on it. I don't know much about it

If the stoploss arm is held down by the dog then this would create more force than a trap without the stoploss arm.

Alright, I think that's what I'm finding. Thank you all for trying to help me out with this. I'm still extremely green so I figured I would ask the forum for advice. Thanks, Hunttrapflyfish

If the nut and bolt is tight then loosen it. Try that and if it helps then lock nut loose with punch.
