I have used this before but have never tried it on a trap. It is strange how it alters the metal. The electrolite is H2O and washing soda.(1/2 cup to a gallon) The power soarce is a battery charger. Some of the rust falls off and some of it forms as stalagtites on the metal. Make sure polarity is correct or it works backwards.

I found a pistol once that was rusted up solid and got it apart and fixed after doing this.

Krank, the pic is to small, cant read what it says...
I would say the "-" is hooked to your project, but what is the "+" hooked to?
And what kind of container do you use, plastic?

Negative to the rusty part. Positive to a "ground rod" sunk in the tank. Plastic bucket or tub.
