I gotta say, after I asked for suggestions on here a month back, I went ahead and bought the ztraps because they worked with my budget and my catch ratio vastly improved with the push pull trigger when I did. But after I sold some fur last Friday avd made far more than I expected, I decided to order a half dozen coon daggers last Saturday. I just picked them up 20 min ago and I'm already impressed! The dog, the circular trigger mechanism, it all just looks well made. I'll be setting them out tommorrow. I think I know what I'll be ordering another dozen of before next season.  |

You will NOT be disappointed. Take advantage of the safety feature, too.

The only dog proof trap I will let my son use are coon daggers simply the best out there IMO.

Yeah I know but I've been averaging a couple coon a day for 2 weeks now and nothing rubbed up yet so I'm just gonna keep after em till it's over.

The Daggers have a notched trigger that allow you to set the trap in a "safe" position where they are very hard to fire. This is a GREAT feature- I bait and set all my traps at the house, stack 'em in milk crates, then run down the road. It literally makes a 15-30 second-set when I'm putting them out.
