Average coon fur about $6.25 and rats were down to $4. Too bad i just found a mess of them too. But I was happy with my coon prices. Got some more #1 longsprings for some muskrat sets I am building. And for anyone who was wondering the red yotes are not worth much. They want white bellies.

D&R, he has always been very fair, and honest about how i can skin a critter to make it more valuable to both of us. Not all the fur buyers have been that way. Not sure why they think they can burn someone. I will never sell to them again. Why do you ask Bigjohn?

Just curious. It's interesting to see the difference in prices compared to the section of the state they're sold in. I know even in my part of the state different buyers will have a difference in top prices. Sometimes it has more to do with where the buyer is going to peddle the pelts they buy.

i did not even ask. I was hearing such low numbers on here i was happy with what i got. 4 was my low for 2X and 6 for 3X but my 4X ones were 37-38 and thick hide said they would be in Northern pile at action and would give me 10 for them. my guess is that was top.

See what I'm getting at? Different buyers, different areas, and different marketing of the buyer all go into what one gets for there stuff. A buyer that's buying strictly on speculation is probably going to give less than a buyer that has a firm market order.

You don't have to worry about any existing orders for coons currently. They don't exist.

yeah the buyer i had said that coons from around columbia are not generally furred as good as even as far north as moberly or mark twain lake. which i can tell they are a lighter pelt weight wise for sure. I think he has been selling furs himself for a while and knows how to stay in business.
