some people ben teling me cant kill coyotes during nov deer seasons did I miss something in the regs Wears the anser man when U need him? I don't have the answers that bigjohn has but maybe this will do. The key wording here is: WITH DOGSSeason & Limits Coyote Hunting Primary Season: Mon, 05/12/2014 - Tue, 03/31/2015 Daily Limit: Any number Possession Limit: Any number Trapping Primary Season: Sat, 11/15/2014 - Sat, 01/31/2015 Daily Limit: Any number Possession Limit: Any number Additional Information Coyotes may NOT be hunted during daylight hours from April 1 through April 20, and may not be hunted at all during the spring turkey season. During Deer Season The hunting of furbearers with dogs during daylight hours is prohibited statewide from Nov. 1 through the close of the November portion of the firearms deer season and during the anterless portion in counties that are open during that portion.

Seems to me I've seen something about this, but a quick search, I didn't find it. I'm thinking that it is allowed, but wouldn't swear to it. I did find this; mdc.mo.gov/hunting-trapping/regulations/deer-regulations/2014-general-deer-regulations/hunting-other-gameWhich basically says that during the deer seasons if you are hunting furbearers, you MUST have in your possession a VALAD-UNFILLED deer permit for the deer season that is active. However I couldn't find anything about dispatching an animal while trapping. Sounds like this might be something to ask the squirrel sheriff.

If you are deer hunting and have a deer tag then shoot all you want. If you dont have a deer tag then it gets conplicated as far as wearing orange and shot no larger than 4. If you are on your own property then you can carry a centerfire and wear camo with no deer tag if you are really predator calling. I wear orange when I am checking cows! Dont want to get shot by an idiot. (still could) Laws are set up because MDOC got sick of catching people deer hunting with no tag and them just saying they were out coyote hunting.

Some people just gotta make it hard on all of us...

Good info above, And, there's some county's in S Central, Mo you can't hunt anything with dogs, or with anything other than a shotgun, with shot no larger than #4's. It's all in the Deer Reg's book.

During Spring gobbler season, you may NOT shoot a coyote (unless its self defense)
