Fill me in on how it went when you have time. There was a sale in Malvern AR yesterday. I buy from a buyer went and bought lots of furs. Their prices sounded a little better but I have not seen the official results yet. |

Never said I didn't believe ya ,Dale. Believe me,if I thought you a liar,I'd have no problem telling you so to your face,just the way I am.
I don't hide behind closed forums to bad mouth folks as some do(wink wink).
Most was referring to how "odd" the fur market's been this year.Folks saleing early getting more for slatey coons,early otter and beaver,and of course rats for more than more primed stuff later in the season.
A few top Chinesse buyers get busted for smuggling fur in(by not paying the high tariff),over production of ranch mink(again the Chinesse with a less than stellar product),and the country market goes to hell.
This should be a good lesson for all the new folks getting into trapping as how fast prices can turn around.
Prices have been all over the board this year.It was my understanding that most of the stuff at the Jan FHA was held-over stuff. If that were the case I'd say some of the smaller manufactors may have been grabbing up stuff before prices advanced.If this were the case,they may be kicking themselves now.
FHA may well have the ball in their court by having their next sale in Helsinki,as far as getting the major players together.
Both NAFA and FHA could be doing a better job of getting some informationout there.
Of course this is all just my opinion.

We "hide behind closed forums" only because we don't like Obama, gays in-our-faces, and whatever else. We love Charlie Daniels and Lynyrd Skynyrd and Minute Maid Lemonade. We hate censorship and the threats we face with being suppressed. We don't much care for "yes" men and organizations that forget who it is that make them work.
I've gotten into WAY too much trouble over the years with my mouth on this PUBLIC forum to have to hide. I ain't afraid of anyone or anything.
Well, there was this one redhead back in '88. She scared the POOP out of me. Eventually.
We allow new folks on our website from time-to-time. Two this week, in fact. As long as they don't like gays in-our-faces, that is. We have decals and T-shirts advertising our "closed forum". And I'm pretty sure we bad-mouth the same folks right here, too.
Sue me. God Bless America and t-board, too.

ozarkmountainman, I think there are far more of us than there are of them. We are just too busy with family and work to bother, yet. They are going to have more than they bargained for if they keep up this "I hate america" crap and you have to accept every relationship. They sway with the wind in there beliefs. We are bending but we wont brake, they will.
