This is a best made hudsonbay axe. In my oppinion out of all the hudson bay axes still being made wich arent many this is absolutly the best you can get. Best made is a new york based outdoor camp supplie company and there axes are hand made by real forth generation blacksmiths in north Carolina if youve ever used an axe from your local hardware store you know how porely axes are made today. And that is a shame. Thats why when it comes to my trapping and bushcraft survival i chose bestmade. Sent from my DROID RAZR using proboards

135 i think. But trust me its worth every peny. Its made from 5160 carbon alloy steal and the hickory handel is made from trees in the appalachian mountains. They have awesome customer servise very friendly and it comes with a really cool manual that exsplains how to properly sharpin an axe with a diamond file. And they have all kinds of products. In my oppinion a good axe is just as important as a good rifle if you spend very long in the wild you need something thats high quality to see you through. I use my axe to build shelters. Make firewood build cubies for trapping. Cut stakes. Notch logs for makeing rat floats. All kinds of stuff.

You should check out council tools, and Bestmade websites , council tools makes these axes for Bestmade so they have there own version as well as some cheaper versions, Bestmade brand comes with a better sheath !!!that's why I got the Bestmade version. All versions are made in america in north Carolina. Different versions range from $45-$150.
