Woodchuck? cubed up & tainted for bait? I ate them, & they are delicious. I am asking for 2 reasons. I shot one today, skinned & cleaned out, froze. Next because seeing the red fox the last few years, they will pick up a fresh roadkill. Wondering if they like em fresh only, or tainted? I myself like them in spaghetti sauce, or in garlic & olive oil. -T-

i never used the meat for bait, but i sun rendered oil from the fat of one, and used it at some sets. don't know if it helped but it sure didnt hurt. was a real sweet and pure smelling oil. caught possum, coon and fox at sets where it had been applied in combination with lure.
