The castor market is pretty good right now.
If you guys aren't shipping your castor you should be.

Hi ya fellas! I just registered, hoping to find a kind soul to help me out here! I'd love to get my hands on some dried beaver castor (preferably ground if possible)! Actually if I could get hold of two beaver castors it would be perfect! I'm planning on surprising a buddy with his own bottle of castor vodka (recipe posted on chatboard)! He's been talking about it to and fro for well over a year now! Always the same story: he was at a bar and the bartender offered him a shot of castor vodka (probably moonshine haha). He talks about this with an intense passion. So... I'd thought I'd surprise him with a flask of this fiiine, fiiine alcohol when we're in the forest.

I posted a recipe on the chatboard. ; ) You're not supposed to drink the mix!! Sorry for being a bit off topic but... 75 cl non-flavoured booze for a whole castor. Grind castor well, put in 100 cl glass bottle. Pour 75 cl booze in bottle. Shake well every day for 3-4 wks. Use one (1!) tsp to flavour 75-100 cl vodka or the booze of your preference. That's how you do it or so I've been told. You can add some juniper berries too to get that extra "outdoors, gamey, wilderness"-taste. It wont hurt one bit.

I'll just have to take your word for it lol. My castors go into making beaver and predator lures.

Swedish hunters (especially in northern Sweden) make this castor vodka and bring it with them to enjoy as schnapps with their hunter friends. I've been told that it has a smoky, leathery taste. I'm very curious about it! So I came here, hoping to purchase some. : )
